Depending on additional diseases, age and symptoms we offer several different approaches in case of a diagnosed Adult Isthmic Spondylolisthesis or “Slipped Vertebra”.
- In case of a slipped disc and a stenosis of the spinal canal, whereas the slipped disc only slightly disarranges (proven by means of motion X-ray) only the stenosis is treated microscopically.
- In case of an in-stabile slipped disc with a stenosis a microscopic discectomy in connection with a ligament is performed.
- For younger patients with a sliding disc and a one-sided pain-symptomatic but without a stenosis, an endoscopic treatment can bring the anticipated results.
- Younger patients with a slipped vertebra and “merely” back pain should initially undergo a special medical strengthening therapy. However, should this therapy conclude unsuccessful, a fusion operation with bone-spurs (possibly without additional screws and implants) could be a good solution.
