The retired 70-year-old Mr. B had developed an acute case of arthritis on the inner side of his left knee following open surgery on his medial (inner) meniscus that was performed in 1970. Due to his age, the only recommendation Mr. B received was to have an artificial knee joint implanted - a procedure that he, despite his age, didn't want. Mr. B underwent an abrasion plus osteotomy in September 2001. These images, taken in March 2002, show excellent results. In the meantime, the patient is totally free of discomfort. |
