Medical Strengthening Therapy
Measurable treatment for the vertebral column
In our everyday life the vertebral column is exposed to high mechanical strains. Raised punctiform charges of over 400 kp can occur during certain tasks. Exposed to this enormous pressures the spinal column - without its musculature - counterparts with a stability of 5 kp. The entire stability of the spine comes exclusively from its muscles. Relieving posture and rest only weakens and “deconditions” the remaining spinal musculature. Main therapy-goal for chronic and therapy-resistant patients is hence the strengthening of the back-musculature.
The muscles responsible for stability of the back are very small and superposed by large bottom- and leg-muscles. The predominant bottom- and leg-muscles must be segregated in order to successfully train the small back-muscles.

ResultsThe MedX therapy extends over 12-18 sessions, carried out once or twice a week. 87 % of all patients reported of a significant up to complete complaint-reduction. The overall satisfaction rate of all patients treated in Munich averaged 96%, pain-reduction averaged 57%. Pain-reduction and strength-increase remained preserved for up to 12- 24 months after the therapy was completed. This results are exiting and convincing, especially when viewed in regard to previous results of therapies for chronic back-patients.
Dr. Brian Nelson of the Roseville-Clinic in Minneapolis, USA, has conducted a scientific study with 421 patients scheduled for spine surgery, who were instead treated with MedX. In 91,5 % of patients a surgery could be avoided. Only 8,5 % of these patients had to undergo surgery within the subsequent 30 months.

Medical strengthening therapy for the cervical spine
The MedX therapy for the cervical spine is a relatively new method, very much resembling its older lumbar counterpart. The cervical spine stabilizes according to a so called “draft-strap-principle”: the stronger the muscle-tension, the lesser the instability of the vertebrae and the less intense the stress on the ligaments. The addition of muscular tension adds additional stability and compensates the affect of bending- and rotation-vigours, thus preventing blockades.
An intense isolated, scientific & repeatable strengthening and measurement of the neck-musculature can today only be obtained by means of MedX.
All sessions are carried out singularly by specifically trained therapists. The team remains in close contact to distinguished rehabilitation-institutes throughout the world, especially in the US. Newest scientific findings and advanced training is persistently incorporated into the therapeutic work.
