The popular entertainer has suffered from the typical symptoms: pain, radiation and numbness on and off ever since 1998. Since a fall on stage three weeks ago, his symptoms worsened tremendously: Peter de Jong could no longer lift his right arm.
Dr. Hoogland diagnosed a hernia of two levels, C4-5 and C5-6 and removed these yesterday by means of an endoscopic procedure, under safe and sparing local anaesthesia.
Mr. de Jong was relased into the care of his wife just two hours after the procedure and returned to the Netherlands after a final examination the next morning.
