Dieter Seidenkranz is now officially „Germany’s strongest Man“, |
Against all odds
Successful come-back after endoscopic spine surgery with Dr. Hoogland
Dieter Seidenkranz is now officially „Germany’s strongest Man“, following July’s international “Strongman” championships in Rosenheim/Germany. “This are the laurels any sportsman strives for!” so the proud 39 year old champ.
With unorthodox disciplines like „suitcase-towage“ filled with 125 kg iron for each side, „beer-barrel- stem“ or the popular „car-barrow“, the “Strongman”-championships are not – even for the healthiest back - a walk in the park.
Following a number of injuries and a herniated disc, Dieter Seidenkranz, successfully underwent endoscopic spine surgery in 2004 and proved destiny wrong by winning against all odds. Seidenkranz was able to regain and surpass his former strength and condition thanks to his stern self-discipline, a ruthless workout and the medical strengthening therapy attended at Alpha Klinik’s rehab.
During the discipline “Stones of Strength” – 5 of 160 kg stone-bowls to be lifted on a 1,30 m high pedestal – Seidenkranz was by far the fastest, getting the job done in just 26,5 seconds. The final decision however was made, during “Pole Push”, a discipline in which two adversaries are to push one another off the field with wooden poles.
Dr. Hoogland and his team congratulate this exceptional athlete. We keep our fingers crossed for upcoming events!
