16.000th spine operation at the Dr. Hoogland section
Dr. Schubert freed Rumanian farmer from his complains
Mr. Chirea with his surgeon Dr. Schubert
Mr. Chirea, a 53 year old Rumanian farmer has been suffering from massive pain in leg and back for over 6 months when a friend referred him into the care of the Alpha Klinik’s spine surgeons Dr. Thomas Hoogland and Dr. Michael Schubert.
Diagnosis: Herniated disc. The solution: a safe, minimal invasive, endoscopic surgery in local anaesthesia.
Mr. Chirea was very pleased with this alternative, as the surgeons in his home country had indicated an open, risky operation in general anaesthesia followed by a long hospital stay.
The patient acted fast and travelled to Munich with his son to seek treatment at the Alpha Klinik. In the beginning of Mai Dr. Michael Schubert successfully removed the herniation in the lumbar spine.
Mr. Chirea was very happy with the result and was discharged from the clinic one day after his spine surgery. Dr. Schubert has recommended a two week rest until to the successful and hard working farmer could return to his demanding labour.
Along the way the surgical team celebrated a special jubilee: Mr. Chirea was the 16.000th spine patient operated by the spine specialists.
Dr. Schubert and the Alpha Team wish their patient a successful recovery!
