Adventurer-couple Franziska and Rainer Ulm have been on their way around Europe for over 4 years, when a slipped disc in the neck forced Rainer to take a mandatory break in Spain.

Dr. Schubert, an enthusiastic athlete himself and Alpha Klinik´s own Iron Man, was inspired by the extreme achievement of the Ulm-couple and offered fast and unbureaucratic help. He has performed an endoscopic surgery of the neck on February 16th 2005.
Mr. Ulm had experienced immediate pain relieve and travelled for a brief visit of his home town - just one day following the percutaneous nucleotomy.
Back in Spain and reunited with his wife, Rainer Ulm has taken up some light therapy. The Ulms will soon be able to continue their quest through Spain and France to their final port of destination – Hamburg. Further information about their exiting journey: www.ulm-outdoor.de
