Drs. Zeegers |
|
Drs. Willem Zeegers is known for his operative skills, his empathy to his patients and – perhaps most of all - his fine sense of humour to colleagues and staff.
When Drs. Zeegers entered the clinic - crooked by back pain one fine morning in July, all who saw and passed him presumed he was just making a little hoax.
But in fact, Zeegers was in deep pain and needed help, fast! His symptoms were insomnia, numbness in right leg and – worst of all - massive leg-pain. Dr. Hoogland, who examined his pained colleague supplied the crushing diagnosis: sequestrated disc at L3-4.
As a matter of course, a very brave Drs. Zeegers got a very special VIP–treatment by colleagues and staff that day – he was operated endoscopically by Dr. Hoogland on the very same day.
The endoscopic procedure – with removal of the herniation at L3-4 – did not impress the popular patient one bit. He took off on his bicycle, just 2 hours after the surgery, to rest in neighbouring Arabella Sheraton Grand Hotel.
A very content Drs. Zeegers has been “resting” and recovering well, for 3 days. Being the life wire that he is, he took the “cutlery” into his hands again, performing artificial disc replacement on the fourth day following his own surgery.
The entire staff thanks Drs. Zeegers for being such a pleasant patient and wishes him to remain in good health & spirits in the future. |
