Ori Ichaki, who used to be an important member of the Israeli National youth team, has recently turned pro and is the first Israeli player ever to play professionally in Slovenia. The confident and versatile player has been a real success story so far. An injury during a game in late 2005 caused his lowest disc L5-S1 to tear and prolaps, causing strong pain in his lumbar spine as well as his leg. The 1.95 m tall shooting guard, who is currently under contract with Pivovarna Lasko, could no longer perform 100 % and came to Munich for a fast and gentle solution, the endoscopic removal of the herniated disc.
Spine specialist Dr. Michael Schubert performed the procedure at the Alpha Klinik and released his patient one day after the operation – feeling pain free and eager to return to his team.
We wish Ori a good and speedy recovery and a successful 2006 season.
