German VIP´s play golf for people in need
The Los Flamingos Golf Club- Marbella, Spain was the venue of this year´s Beckenbauer Hoogland Golf Trophy .
Dr. Hoogland (Head of Spine Surgery at the Alpha Klinik in Munich), Jörg Wontorra (TV-host of the “Doppelpass”, DSF) and Franz Beckenbauer ( President of FC Bayern) invited guests to participate in a three day charity golf tournament in one of Spain´s nicest regions.
Wontorra and Beckenbauer, both members of The Eagles Golf Charity Club, accumulated money for the Hansestiftung (Wontorra) and the Franz Beckenbauer Foundation. |

Dr. T. Hoogland contributed 20,000 Euro to Jörg Wontorras “Hansestiftung”, a charity foundation committed to the education of young people. The Franz Beckenbauer Foundation received a check over 50.000 Euro.
The Eagles Charity Golf Club was founded in October 1993. Today the Club counts more than 80 members from television, radio, sports , theatre & economy. Every year the club organizes more than 15 golf tournaments to raise money for people in need.
Spine specialist Dr. Hoogland and “the imperator of German football” Franz Beckenbauer , Thomas Berthold , Karl-Heinz Riedle, Michael Schanze, Max Schautzer, Dieter Thoma, Carlo Thränhardt, Jörg Wontorra, Sonja Zietlow, Christa Kinshofer and many other celebrities swung their golf clubs and fought for every birdie and score to bring a smile on the faces of those needing help the most. |
