The Eagles-Hoogland-Trophy
Solidarity with people in affliction
For the second year in succession dr. Hoogland has dedicated himself to charity.
More than a 100 participants competed for The Eagles - Hoogland Charity Trophy at the Los Flamingos Golf Club in Marbella in April 2005. Among them were celebrities from the worlds of theatre, sports, film and business. Celebrities for charity: this was the idea behind the foundation of The Eagles Charity Golf Club on 4 October 1993, by now including over 80 members. In order to help people in distress generous sponsors are needed to stress the charity character of the foundation.

Beside spine specialist Dr. Hoogland and ‚Kaiser’ Franz Beckenbauer, also Toni Schumacher , Thomas Berthold, Dieter Thoma, Michael Stich, Jan Josef Liefers , Laurenz Meyer , Sven Ottke, Jörg Wontorra, Gundis Zambo and Christa Kinshofer tried their best.
At the end of an eventful day the result was there in the form of a generous cheque, enabling the foundations to offer direct and straight help. Franz Beckenbauer received 50.000 Euro from the new Golfclub Santana for his foundation for disabled people and Jörg Wontorra was presented with a cheque of 20.000 by dr. Hoogland for his “Hansa Foundation Jörg Wontorra", which dedicates itself to education, schooling and youth work. |

22.02.2005. Dutch cabaret artist, Peter de Jong, more familiar to his audience as Maxi - the "larger" part of favoured duo Mini & Maxi - was operated on by Dr. Hoogland on two herniated levels of the cervical spine.
